Every server on our list is free to join and free to play; the cost of entry is a Minecraft account. That makes "free survival servers" a slightly hollow search term, so this page answers the question underneath it instead.
What varies is the store. The useful test is whether anything it sells is unobtainable in game: if everything is also earnable, the store sells time, and if some things are exclusive, it sells power. Where we have checked, the entry says which.
